One-of-a-kind fiber art and hand-painted floorcloths, "Art For Your Floor."
My artwork is a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of the landscapes and natural world that surround and inspire it. Each piece reflects a deep appreciation for organic forms, shifting light, and the quiet, powerful rhythms of nature. With a formal background in textile design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), there is a strong foundation in both traditional and experimental techniques. Over the years, my skills have been honed in, screen printing, painting, weaving, and dyeing fibers—working with both acid and natural dyes to create richly layered textures and colors that echo the natural environment.
My creative journey has been shaped not only by academic training but also by personal influences and mentors whose guidance left a lasting imprint. Among the most meaningful are Aunt Nell, whose passion for craft and storytelling sparked an early interest in making; a father, who instilled a love of nature and a reverence for detail; and a stepfather, whose steady encouragement and quiet strength have helped nurture both confidence and curiosity. Together, these influences form the foundation of a practice rooted in observation, emotion, and connection to place.
